11/12/2022 0 Comments Sampletank 3 free sound librarySAMPLETANK 3 FREE SOUND LIBRARY 32 BITWhy? Because it's all about user choices and not offering a 32bit version forces its users to use 64bit OS only, so not even Windows 7 32 bit will do. Jokes aside, I think it is a big mistake for IKM to not include a 32bit version of ST3. I'm glad you have access to other systems running SampleTank 3 and you were able to gather that much information. You can see above that another does not think it is that much, but it will surely take more resources than the plugins that I see it compared to, most of which were many years old. We will have the demo version up soon where you can try on your own system and see if it is within a range of acceptable resource usage for you. There is currently nothing on your website to explain this! If you could explain why it needs such a heavy RAM load on it's own, that would help me and others in our decision to perhaps buy it. That is quite a big chunk of RAM to allocate to an empty VSTi. I haven't bought it yet, I'm just basing my observations based on what I have seen on other systems running Sampletank 3.ĭo I think it is excessive? For a VSTi with no samples loaded, yes I do. I hoped you would confirm that 500 MB is what Sampletank 3 uses by default. So maybe I am not seeing the big deal at this RAM usage.Īnyway, I tried to hate IK, but this new Sampletank has been awesome for me. Yes, even as an empty plugin loaded using 500mb, that still doesn't scratch the surface of 8GB.(500mb, y'all, that's a half a GB.). But my system is considered "older" and "under-powered", and it is still more than enough to deal with a 500mb RAM usage (Core2 Q8600 Quad, 8GB Ram). I have been super pleased with the decision and have had flawless and fun use since I got it (thank goodness!).īack when dual core XP systems with a few GB's of RAM were the norm, I could understand the concern about the difference between the different RAM needs mentioned in a few posts back. SAMPLETANK 3 FREE SOUND LIBRARY UPGRADEI went against my better judgement and paid for the upgrade to Sampletank 3, mostly because I saw that it was (finally) a 64bit plugin AND could supposedly import ALL of the sounds from the synths I no longer used. I still use the La2a and Fairchild emulation compressor plugins, but had to quit using all of the old synth plugins I had paid for due to various problems. Thank you.Īs I have said before, I have had my issues with IK products in the past. Please visit for official SampleTank 3 information. It will support a smaller yet representative sound library, but note that it will not import (so it will not import legacy Powered By SampleTank sound libraries and will only run its own). SampleTank 3 Free: There will be a free version coming soon (edit and no ST3 free version has been posted yet, so nor any pulled down for any reason). We work hard to be as available as possible to our current and future customers at events, online forums and through various social channels. I was at NAMM every day personally and don’t recall any incident taking place in or near our booth. Our staff at NAMM includes several support folks, and we welcome users to come and discuss our products with us ( at NAMM or any time). Regarding NAMM, - we have NEVER called security on anyone. See below for information about the upcoming free version that will serve as a demo for SampleTank 3. It is likely that you mean that one, and they would be happy to help you with any issues you are experience with it. It is really quite astounding what can be done with - I hope you have worked with our support team at as there is currently no free version of SampleTank 3, but there is one for SampleTank 2.5. IMHO ESC still is one of the most valuable programs you can have on hand. serious health problems with its developer as I understand it. I do mourn the fact the ESC 3.6 has never gone to version 4.0. I don't think ST3 can do that, but I have been wrong before. this is something that Kontakt excells at doing. What I don't see mentioned, nor know about is building an instrument with velocity layered samples. I have not personally done this so can't speak from real experience. since ST3 wants to see a naming convention for each wav file as to it's key. The files would likely need some work to their names. ST3 says it can create intruments from your own wav or aiff files, but. One is that yes, they can be imported to ST3, so that is good I do not know if they can be Imported into ST3. +1 for ExSC - it will create SampleTank 1 instruments.
